What should I do in the event of an accident?

•Turn the engine off, unless you are in danger of being hit. Then, drive to the closest place away from traffic.
•If you think you are injured, stay in the car and ask someone to call for help. Call the police at 911, or dial the operator.
•Exchange names, addresses, license numbers and insurance information with all drivers involved.
•Write down the names, addresses, and phone numbers of witnesses.
•Call the Professional Collision Group to make repair arrangements with the store closest to you.
•Call your insurance agent or local claims office.
•If your vehicle is unsafe to drive, call Professional Collision and we will set up a tow truck for you. We use Paulson’s Towing for all our towing needs.

What is a Direct Referral Program (DRP)?

Insurance companies with direct referral programs carefully select repair shops, such as PCG, based on their quality of work, timeliness of service, customer satisfaction and previous experience with claims offices.

•DRP saves you time and, with your approval that allows us to quickly begin your repair work.
•DRP allows your insurance company to better manage costs.
•DRP eliminates the need for competitive damage estimates and paperwork hassles.

How much will my repair cost?

Estimate

PCG's experienced estimators will deliver an accurate estimate of “observable damage” when your car arrives. (PCG does not produce “low estimates” for the purpose of being awarded the repair. All PCG estimates are computer generated and are written with honest assessment of seeable damage before the repair process begins. Whether you have a DRP, traditional claim, or out-of-pocket payment process, your repair will be handled with the same high level of integrity and service.)

Parts Disclosure

The estimate will identify the type of recommended replacement parts - new OEM, non-OEM, and used. PCG aggressively pursues the best prices on parts and is consistently competitive on labor. A PCG representative will explain issues of timing, price, quality, procedures, and ask for your preference and approval. We then immediately send the estimate electronically to your insurance claims office for approval.

Supplement Estimates

Once the area of damage has been disassembled, “hidden damage” may require a supplement estimate. Again, you will be made aware of any proposed changes to the original estimate, and both your approval and the insurance company’s will be sought before further work occurs.

Payment

If the repair is being paid for by your insurance company, you should only be responsible for your deductible.

How long will it take to repair my vehicle?

PCG understands you want your car repaired as quickly as possible. That’s why we efficiently approach our three-store repair operations as one workload. By strategically moving key technicians between stores during peak periods, we are able to respond quicker and complete repairs in a shorter time. However, when unforeseen delays outside of our control do occur, we immediately make you aware and provide you with a new estimate time of delivery. PCG discovered long ago the importance of communication to establish and maintain high levels of trust. We want your experience at PCG to a positive one. That’s one more reason why we do our best to thoroughly discuss:

•time and cost estimates
•estimate modifications
•progress reports of when we begin painting
•updates for when the car will be ready

Will my vehicle look like new?

PCG has a preferred relationship with Enterprise and Hertz. Whether you want a rental car because of coverage or, out-of-pocket, PCG can reduce the hassle and arrange for the car you want to be waiting for your arrival.

How does PCG save me money and time?

PCG doesn’t cut corners when it comes to the proper repair of your car. Your safety is our primary concern. However, PCG has found there are customer situations that sometimes require cost and time savings – while keeping the repair quality within our expert guidelines. PCG cannot reduce the cost of your deductible, but for certain applications some insurance companies can offer appearance allowances. Additionally, for out-of-pocket repairs, the type of replacement parts can also have a major influence on your final bill and the time it takes to repair your car. At your request, PCG will investigate these types of opportunities and keep you informed of appropriate ways to save you money.

Does PCG offer glass repairs?

If you haven’t been able to find the time to repair that crack in your windshield, why not save yourself the hassle and get all your repairs done at once? And for non-insurance glass repairs, PCG offers competitive pricing from chip repairs to complete replacements and tinting. For your convenience, if you have a glass need that PCG is not able to do, we will bring in a Auto Glass Vendor to our shop. PCG uses Car Tech Auto Glass Mobile Services.

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is the fast and affordable way to restore the cosmetic beauty of your car's finish by removing small dents. This is the same process that several manufacturers of high-end autos have been using on their production lines for many years.

What should I do after I get my vehicle back?

Paint Care Tips:

•Wait 30 days after painting to wax.
•Avoid cleaning in direct sunlight.
•Use fresh water and auto paint soap.
•Wax your car every four to six months.
•Avoid high-pressure hoses and hard brushes at commercial car washes.
•Protect your vehicle from the elements, tree sap and bird droppings. Rinse off any bird droppings, tree sap, road residue and other liquids as soon as possible. Stop by one of our stores if you need further expert advice.
•PCG uses AkzoNobel Paint Refinish.
